We have all been there. We have all peered into the backs of our smartphones or cameras and stared at our children or our pets….or the favourite plant in the house (yes – plants were part of my early days – along with water meters oddly enough). I longed to take a good picture, and I took a LOT of terrible pictures before I became the best Red Deer Family Photographer in the area. So how did I do this?
That is an excellent question, and it would be next to impossible to break down everything I have learned, discovered, and pioneered since beginning this journey so long ago. My business went from knowing no one to winning significant International Photography contests to this November, presenting an 8-hour photography workshop in Saskatchewan to a whole room of professional photographers who are part of the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC). Not too bad.
In my blog post this year, I will be covering topics such as What is In My Camera Bag, Shooting for Success, Shooting in Ugly Locations, Helping Kids Relax and so many more topics that will be fun, easy to read and even easier to follow – because no one has time for complicated! I am also happy to include topics that YOU find important and relative to your photography journey. It makes no difference if you are a seasoned professional or just starting – or even if you wish to invest in some lifelong memories of your children.
